For many women, the menopause can be debilitating, taking over their bodies, emotions, and lives. For me, it manifested slowly at first, before taking complete hold of my life-an experience involving: Understanding The Reality of Menopause
A menopause coach is a professional coach who guides women to navigate their menopause journey. They will understand the physical, emotional, and mental transition that occurs during this phase of life. A menopause coach is not a medically qualified legal practitioner nor a professional trainer. Instead, they provide women with an inspirational guide to help women access wellness, health, and lifestyle options in the later perimenopausal and menopausal stages of this period. Through individual personal coaching sessions, tools, and guidance, menopause coaches empower women to make informed decisions, and feel empowered and at ease with managing menopause, and more. If you require further medical help, please consult your GP. NHS
Consequences of Menopause on Suffolk Women greatly impacts them. Approximately 4.5 million women at any given moment deal with the effects of menopause. Hot flushes and sleeping pattern alterations can become exemplified throughout menopausal body changes, and have the potential to impair women’s day-to-day function, which in turn wastes hours of time or jeopardises the loss of their health and happiness. Menopause’s emotional and psychological impacts might be equally devastating, resulting in anxiety, despondency and isolation. Menopause can also have serious economic impacts as well as the majority of women cutting back on working hours or even leaving the work force altogether because of their symptoms. Menopause Studio
Menopause coaching offers certified one-on-one help with women experiencing the physical, emotional, and psychological changes of menopause. Menopause coaching educates on the concerning hormonal changes, methods to eliminate symptoms, and strategies for changing in life that can significantly enhance the quality of life. With one-on-one visits, women learn even more about their own bodies and are instructed in diet, exercise, rest, and stress management, all of which have the ability to reduce symptoms such as hot flashes, mental fogginess, and mood swings. One-on-one counselling can empower women to make healthier decisions regarding their own health and feel more empowered at a time historically devalued or ignored in addition to health, menopause coaching also addresses the social and emotional concerns which may arise during this stage of a woman’s life. Apprehension, change of identity, or disruption of self-concept are emotions that the majority of women can feel because of sociocultural understanding of aging and menopause. A menopause coach offers a safe, non-judgmental setting to address these conditions, with methodologies for creating resilience, self-advocacy, and purpose. By putting dialogue in the spotlight and providing empathetic counsel, menopause coaching helps women come to accept this phase of life with confidence and self-confidence, effectively converting what normally can be converted to a shut door into an opening one.

The benefits of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) usually outweigh the risks. Recent evidence says that the risks or serious side effects from HRT are very low. Older studies found potential risks of HRT and made people reluctant to take or prescribe it. But this view is now seen as out of date because it does not take into account the benefits as well as the risks. The benefits and risks of taking HRT depend on your age, your menopause symptoms, and any risk factors you have.
If you are under 60 years old, have menopause symptoms, and are not at high risk of breast cancer or blood clots, the benefits of HRT are likely to outweigh the risks. Talk to your GP, who will help you decide.
There is a myth that because you are going through the menopause, your sex life is over, but this does not have to be the case. While some of the hormonal changes of menopause may change the way you experience sex and your body, there is lots you can do to create a happy and pleasurable sex life that feels right for you.
According to the NHS, it is not recommended to take herbal remedies or bioidentical hormones to treat menopause symptoms. This is because it is not clear how safe and effective they are. These have not been tested and regulated in the same way as medicines. Consult your GP.
According to the NHS, even if you have not had a period for years, you should still have regular check-ups with a gynecologist, particularly if you are postmenopausal. These check-ups can monitor your health and address any concerns related to declining estrogen levels, which can impact your cardiovascular health and bone density.
According to the NHS, yes, you should still get Pap tests (cervical screening) and mammograms after menopause, as the risk of cervical and breast cancer can still be present even after menopause. However, you should consult your GP to confirm your individual screening schedule based on your health history and age.
Put yourself back in control.
